lesson learned
Well I learned a very valuable lesson that I believe I needed to learn about a year ago. Today started out ok with me up about $40 but then I took a pretty big dive and was stuck about $110. I decided to take a break and planned on playing later. So later on comes and I proceed to get stuck another $100 so I am down about $210 which really pisses me off. Now normally this is where I would call it a day and just let it go. But today I just toughed it out and grinded myself back to down $60 and decided to eat dinner. After dinner I sat back down and went on a heater and won about $120 in 20 minutes. The final result is that I am up $60 for the day which is just awesome. I really need to stop letting my numbers dictate how much I play.
I used to get a stuck a quick hundred and just call it quits for the day. What I need to do now is just play through and get my hours in. I should probably just stop looking at my rate while I play though. That would probably be the best solution for me and that's really what I need to work on.
I feel great that I was able to come back from such a large hole, 50 BB, and bring myself all the back to positive day.
If I really want to move up in limits I just need to start putting in 5000+ hands everyweek. Which at about 300 per hour is around 16 hours a week. Ive been playing online poker for a while and I'm not even close to where I should be. Infact I am at the same limits I was when I started 2 years ago. I have the skills to move up the limits and all I need to do is put the time in.
