a few sessions of poker
well i played a couple times at oceans 11 last week, my first trip went really well, i didnt get cards for the first few hours but then i started to hit some hands and rake some pots, the hand that saved me was my AA, picked it up in middle position and only had about $18 left, i raised preflop and got 5 callers which a was not happy about, flop came A27 with 2 spades, i didnt have the ace of spades so i was still nervous, even more so when i got 4 callers on the flop, well the turn brought the 2 of spades and i bet my last $6 and got 3 callers, but i was saved on the river with another 2 and i took down and $80 pot. i just kept winning from there and left up $137
on my next trip i was not so lucky, i went up early with 97 of clubs and was up about $70, then all of a sudden i couldnt win a hand i everytime i had the best hand i got sucked out on, the first hand was JJ, now ive lost about 7 straight times with jacks, i just cant seem to win with them, the past 2 times someone has flopped and straight with 95 and Q10, i raised preflop and got 3 callers, this time the flop came KK6 and i didnt feel like anyone had a king, i bet out and got 2 callers, turn came a meaningless 2 and i bet out again, still 2 callers, river comes another 2 and i bet out again, guy on my left raises, no.. he didnt, oh yes i called the bet and he turns over A2, i couldnt believe it, he called 2 bets cold on the flop and called me all the way to the river and raises me, how does he know i dont have a king, well that was the beginning of the end.
i got J2 in the big blind, flop come J32, small blind bets i raise everyone folds execpt small blind, turns come K, river comes Q and he bets out and turns over QJ, that sucked. i just couldnt catch a break, i left down $80 which isnt terrible considering how bad the cards were treating me. i was asking for it though, the table was one of loosest ive ever seen, average of 7 callers preflop, i knew i was gonna get stung but i didnt think it would happen 7 times in a row. o well thats poker
